1] Facts About Cows In India

2] The Taj Mahal Is Not A Palace

The Taj Mahal is not what people actually think of as this is a tomb, not a palace. This tomb was created by a Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz. Further, to make this tomb, 28 different types of precious stones that are imported to different countries, such as Sri Lanka, China, Tibet, and some parts of India, are used. Now, this is also known as the seven wonders of the world and is represented as a symbol of love. 

3] The First Country To Mine Diamonds

Our country, India, was the only source of all known diamonds in ancient times. Further, India was the only country where diamonds were mined after the discovery of diamonds in South Africa in 1896. Now, according to 2017, India has only one diamond industrial mine scale, the Majhgawan mine near Panna, and it’s located in Madhya Pradesh.

4] Some Are Vegetarians, Others Are Non-Vegetarians

India is known as a country of vegetarians, but then also there are only 30% – 40% vegetarians of the total population. However, others love to eat non-vegetarian food such as chicken, eggs, fish, and much more on special occasions and even on casual days. Further, in most Indian restaurants, people may find non-vegetarian menus instead of vegetarian ones. 

5] Varanasi Is The Oldest City Of India In The World

Varanasi, also known as Kashi and Banaras, is the oldest city in India in the world. This city is situated on the bank of the holy Ganga and is termed as a home of Hindus. The age of this city can be described as being older than history, traditions, and even legends. The Ramnagar, as a capital city of Varanasi, added value, and hence, this became a more valuable state in 1911.

6] India Is The Second Largest Country In Spoken English

Now, in terms of the English language, India is the second largest country after America. Besides many other languages already spoken in our country, English has become the most spoken language here in all states. This is the only common language spoken by most people other than the native language of their own region.
